| The primary objective of celebrating Karavali Utsav is to acquaint the local youth with our rich and diverse cultural heritage, by arranging the performance of the state level and national level artists in the field of Dance, Drama, Music etc., In the process of realizing this objective, the following also get encouragement and attention and truly become objectives of the Utsav itself. |

- Local youth get the opportunity to see the talents of other Districts, States and National level artists. There is an ample opportunity to learn and know the richness of art, music etc., thus resulting in increasing their knowledge towards the world of classical entertainment.
- Giving opportunity to perform in the same platform also encourages local talents and hence they get the necessary exposure and attention.
- Since, exhibition cum sale of various handicrafts and other indigenous products is a part of the Utsav, items of such nature from other parts of our country get exhibited and give the opportunity for the local population to see and enjoy such rare products.
- It is an opportunity to harness the tourism potential of the district.
- All the Industries, Institutions, Philanthropists, Banks etc., get involved in organizing the festival, a sense of camaraderie and belongingness prevails in the minds of everybody. All such institutions and individuals donate liberally for the Utsav. The savings generated out of the Utsav funds are utilized for creation of permanent assets for the district.
